The meaning of words changes and evolves over time. :)


That is correct, but general public understanding is a little different. Nirvana ( Sanskrit origin ) word to word means : to blow out / disappear / extinguish and so on. But to "achieve Nirvana" or "Nirvana prapti" generally means to reach a state when nothing else matters ( you have disappeared sort of , but very very loosely )
