Ask HN: Are you getting (more) sales cold calls from SaaS companies?

There's a specific analytics/monitoring SaaS that somehow got my personal phone number and has been calling me on a regular basis trying to sell.

This is ridiculous. Why would they feel the need to sell through cold calls? The company I work for is also a SaaS, we are on the internet, and so are they.

Does anyone else feel an uptick of this kind of cold call? I definitively don't feel this was normal a few years ago.

Is it Datadog? https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33394059

I've seen SaaS growth advice that basically goes: once you found product-market fit and a good (enterprise) price point get funding, create a sales script and hire 10 sales people. They'll be on commission and call and email all day long.

Luckily I've never received a sales call but see an uptick in people trying to guess my email address (It's not first.last@, f.last@, first@ or last@ which turns out is a good filter).
