From my experience, would strongly suggest Vue. I am a systems developer too and started playing with UI for a side project. I started building the app and started with Angular, Angular 2, React and then heard about Vue and tried it. Vue makes things super easy and is well documented. I was super productive and got things done fastest on Vue.
