Not necessarily, but probably more valuable than someone expressing hate. For someone making a technical decision, the prior is a datapoint, whereas personal hate comes off as just that.

Plenty of things do, until they don't. The, "well, we're stuck with it" philosophy is strong in the PHP community and I hate it.
