We’re building AI tools that remove admin work for sales teams. Small technical team (4 devs today) and a lot of ownership from day one. We work in Python (core), plus Go/Rust for newer services. We’re looking for someone who enjoys backend architecture, integrations, and performance work.
What you’ll work on:
– Designing and building backend services and APIs
– Improving performance across networking, latency, and memory
– Building integrations with CRMs/ERPs
– Working on CI/CD, observability, and multicloud infra
– Collaborating directly with the CTO and CEO on product architecture
Requirements:
– 5+ years backend development
– Strong Python
– Experience with Go or Rust is a plus
– Experience integrating with enterprise systems (CRM/ERP)
– Comfortable in a small, fast-moving startup environment
– Able to be in our London office 2 days per week

SOPHIE is a fast-growing AI startup building next-generation tools for enterprise productivity. We're looking for a backend engineer (3–4 years' experience) to join our core tech team. You'll work with Java/Rust and Python, helping scale our AI platform and integrate with customer systems (CRM, ERP, etc.).
